Your onboarding meeting is part of The DA Way.
We designed it to be a safe space for us to work together in understanding what brought us together and how we'll be working together going forward. It helps us align expectations and lays the groundwork for a strong working relationship. We cannot provide advice if we don't know where you are and where you are trying to go, so expect to help us understand it. This will also gives us both the opportunity to see if we're a good fit for each other - without trust and understanding, our relationship won't work.
We understand working with a new team can be a nerve-racking experience. To that extent we commit the following to you:
After the meeting, you should walk away with answers to your questions and feel a sense of relief that someone has your back. You'll receive your organizational chart within a few days of the meeting. This will help ensure our records accurately reflect your business structure.
Your onboarding meeting can be held on a video call or we can meet in person at our office in downtown Orlando, Florida.
If you've talked with Janay already, you've met our welcoming committee! She’s your go-to for first questions and making sure we’re all on the same page. Once it's time for your onboarding meeting, you'll be introduced to Andrew, our dedicated onboarding specialist. He’ll walk you through the whole process—reviewing past tax filings, confirming services, and getting everything in motion.

Setting expectations is important so we’re all prepared to have a productive meeting. Here’s what we’ll be discussing during our meeting:
Understanding Your Needs
Discuss your business, financial goals, and any immediate concerns you have.
Confirming Services
Ensure all requested services are in motion and clarify next steps.
Reviewing Prior Year Returns
Analyze your previous tax filings to identify errors, red flags, or missed opportunities for tax savings.
Provide potential recommendations for amendments or adjustments.
Discuss any additional services that may be beneficial for your situation.
Setting Expectations
Outline what we need from you moving forward, including timelines and deliverables.
If advisory services are necessary, we’ll coordinate a separate strategy meeting accordingly.
Following this meeting, you'll receive a draft of your organizational chart for review. This is a two page document that shows the legal structure of your organization along with important information for each entity that all of your advisors will find helpful. Each time there is a change, we’ll update it for you.
To have the best meeting possible, please upload the following information to the onboarding team:
Copies of your past three years of tax returns (federal and state) for each entity within your organization that we’ll be representing.
A short description of each entity within your organization, the state it was formed in, any states it’s registered in, and any additional information you can provide.
Your most recent balance sheet and income statement in excel format and ran for this year-to-date.
If any of these have already been provided to our team, you don’t need to send them again—we’ll be able to locate them.
Documents can be securely uploaded to us prior to your meeting via our Karbon client portal. If you have any issues accessing the portal, reach out to our team and we’ll be happy to assist you.
After your onboarding meeting:
We’ll confirm that all services are set up properly.
If further strategy or advisory discussions are needed, we’ll schedule a follow-up meeting with the appropriate team member.
You’ll receive a draft of your organizational chart for review and adjustments.
This onboarding session is all about setting you up for success. We’re here to make the process smooth, efficient, and tailored to your business needs.
At this time your initial onboarding meeting will be scheduled directly by your Sales Advisor. If you're reading this page, your meeting should already be scheduled! If not, please reach out directly to your Sales Advisor, or email us at sales@DiMercurioAdvisors.com.
